Never even had the urge to pick one up. Don't like Turner (or his "proteges") women.

I really didn't care for anything about it. Scratch that, there were a couple of cool dragin pictures, but other then that, nada. I dropped it at three and haven't looked back.

I like Michael Turner, and I usually like this kind of story.

But this is rubbish. And Dying of the Light is worse.

Well, I love this book. And I have an awful lot of respect for Michael Turner. I don't think anyone would have blamed him if he stopped working on the book altogether when he had his latest set of problems with cancer, but he's back and as good as ever. I sometimes think his faces lack some depth, but his locations and backgrounds and stuff is so cool it more than makes up for it.

I'd buy this book even it was written by A.J Lieberman. Turner's got my support.

Well, I'm not really surprised many people don't like this (aside from having a beef with Turner's art) because it's not your regular "run of the mill" action packed superhero story with loads of fights in every issue. I too thought it was slow and dull in the beginning, but with the last issue its started to pick up the pace. And that's the thing with Turner stories - they start on a small scale and then they slowly build to something huge and dramatic. If you've got the patience to follow a Turner story from the beginning to end the pay-off is very well worth it...

Personally though I was glad Jeph left. Hasn't written anything good since Long Halloween (and yes, I've read Hush (unfortunately)).

Soulfire isn't bad. Its definitely not the greatest comic out there, but it is neat, and like Hoffmeister said the pace is picking up now. The next few issues are going to be very cool, so I suggest yuo guys give this series another chance.
You'll be missing out on a lot.

Is this comic being released on a bi-monthly scale or what?

And why did Jeph Loeb leave?

I have no idea what the scheduling is but he probably left cuz of his exclusive contract with Marvel.
