Anyone else looking forward to IDW's horror anthology? I miss the old EC days...

I'm under the impression that it's a magazine, not a comic. Anyone know for sure?

I preordered this the second I heard of it.
It's a magazine.
there is an article about it here:

Definitely looking forward to it. I was on the fence until reading this 'Rama feature (http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40858), which is much more enlightening than the Comic Book Bin story linked to above.

I preordered it after the N'rama story about it appeared.

This looks interesting. I think I might get it since I like horror stories. Though I hope if this is successful, they'll branch off into original material. Who knows, this might have the next big thing.

Just read that whole thread, and aside from that ridiculous "price point" debate, I'm even more stoked at getting this....

I totally forgot about that. Easily one of the lamer rama moments.
Pre-Crisis Rama of course. :D

The bad thing about this is that its intended for the Direct Market only, meaning only the comic shop is getting this. Because I guess any adult material has to be in a bag to be released to newstands and bookstores nowadays. I'll pick up an issue, but I dont expect this book to last longer than a year. Though books like this need to succeed.

I'm hoping it does, like you said, more of these need to succeed.

Read it this morning on the train.
It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.
Maybe I'll buy 1 more issue to see how I feel.

That is certainly true! :)
What was everyone's favorite skit?
I liked the third one the best personally about the film critic.

I enjoyed that one myself though my personal favorite was the first story Blood - something or other - the one w/the little boy who wanted to be a vampire.
Now artwise my favorite was Eduardo Barretto's story Blood Rape of the Lust Ghouls (did I get that right?). Eduardo's the man.

I finally read this in the tub at 4:30 a.m.
I quite enjoyed it.
Ms. Doom's tragic tale about the clutzy film guy set the tone for the rest of the book.
The black and white worked perfectly here, and the stories quite captivated.
My favorite one was "The Final Performance", about the Hollywood writer whose car breaks down.
That was some whacky stuff. I knew the man's press book would somehow tie into the ending, but I wasn't expecting that.

I felt the same way about it. I didnt feel the thrill that others here had. To me it was so-so.
