I just bought the 1st trade today and can't wait to read it. I've heard nothing but good things about this series. What say you?

Been reading it since the first issue.
Can't believe its been ten years.
beware, though, because you will want to run out and get the next one....
vol 3 and 4 of the 10th anniversary tpbs have been delayed for some reason.

Vol. 3 was listed as canceled in the September Previews order form. Lapham's still running ads for the anniversary collections in the "monthly," so I guess there's still hope they'll eventually be published, but definitely not this year.
As for the series, my, that most recent issue was incredibly bizarre, with Lapham channeling Kurosawa. There were echoes of Rashomon, Seven Samurai, Yojimbo and likely others that didn't jump right out at me. It was very different, and very cool.

First jumped on at issue 14, then had to go back and get the previous issues and have been a die hard fan since. Love this series!
Also dont forget to get the Amy Racecar color specials (2 of em with a third on the way I think) and Murder Me Dead a seperate 9 issue murder mystery series which is just as gruesomely fun as Stray Bullets.

I've collected all the trades and have read and loved all up to Vol. 8. I'm planning to read that soon. I hope the newer issues get collect sooner than later. I'd think it would be a good idea to get that done before continuing the delayed 10th anniversary editions. . . but I'm sure that's a selfish opinion.

The 10th anniversary editions of v.3 & 4 are delayed?! ARGH!
I read and loved the first three trades, but I could never find 4 or 5, so I switched up to the thicker, 10th anniversary trades since Amazon had them all listed (advance orders in the case of the latter two) and it seemed that I could get caught up more quickly by getting the new editions.
And now they're delayed indefinitely?! ARGH!
Murder Me Dead is superb, and Amy Racecar is a genre-busting hoot. Whenever the Stray Bullets trades start coming out again, I'll be buying them.

I've never been more disturbed by a comic book than when I've read Stray Bullets (except 'From Hell'). Anything that can disturb me is good. I've been slowly reading the issues from the back issue boxes from my LCS.
Question: What do you think of Lapham on Detective Comics?

It probably will read much better as a trade. It was slow starting up and was interupted by another crossover story.

See my signature!
I love Stray Bullets. Have been reading it since day one. It came out back when I worked at a comic shop during my college years. I remember telling people how great it was.
So far I have not yet read the Batman story Lapham is doing but I have all of the issues. I will read it in one sitting.
