I've picked up the first two issues, and I'm hooked. After reading Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, maybe mysteries set in the Vatican are a little played out, but so far I like it. And it seems like there's a lot of twists and turns to come, which a pulp mystery should have.

Humberto Ramos is a weird choice for this title. It's a serious murder mystery, with almost cartoon like art. But it works. Really well. This is a gorgeous book. My only trifling complaint is that the lead character doesn't look like he's in mid mid-40s, compared to other older characters. He looks 12.

What are other readers thinking about this book?

I think I'll check it out. For some reason, Ramos style really looks good for this and I hated his run on Spiderman.

I'm liking it a lot as well.

Thanks to KryptoGal for turning me on to it.

I pre-ordered the first issue, but then cancelled, due to my memories of Ramos' art. (i know he has fans, but his art style was not what I was looking for)

Picked up issue 1 anyway, to give it a look-see, and I ended up buying issue 1 and 2.

digging it!

I also reading this, yeah perhaps cause I color it :P

But seriously now that I have the 2 issues I think the mix of all elements fit so well, but for sure the basis (the story) is what make it strong and enjoyable (to color and to read)

Also expect this title not to show the better just in the first issues as some titles suffer of that, Revelatins will get stronger as we get more info about what's going on...

And thanks Blind Assassin to take the oportunity to try it!

"Subsequent inquiries about as useful as a penis at a lesbian wedding."

Jenkins and Ramos are kicking ass on this title. Top notch.

At the risk of sucking up, the colouring does rock! Excellent palette you are using.

I have been pimping this book for a while now. Great story, and the art really does work. Almost everyone I have mentioned it to says "I like Jenkins, but Ramos?" Give it a try. You might be surprised :)
