Anyone know when Ted Naifeh's Polly and the Pirates is supposed to be out. I kept hearing last week or this week but yesterday I went to a store that usually has EVERYTHING and they didn't have it.
I didn't ask the counter guy because I thought I would look on line and see if it was delayed but I couldn't really tell, even on Oni's sight.
Anyone know? Did I just miss it somehow on the shelf?

Well, I found Diamond's website and they said they shipped it last week. I need to call the store back and see if they have it.

Did it?
I preordered it, but I don't recall seeing it on the shipping list.

Saw it on my store's shelf last week. It's vaguely torturous waiting for the collection on this one (I had to pull my hand back a lot during the last Courtney Crumrin series).

Polly #1 is out now, I picked up a copy last week. Don't want to spoil it for you, but all that I'll say for now is that I really enjoyed it.

I also have my copy and I agree - it was very impressive. You won't be disappointed. If you can't find a copy, I can get you one and mail it to you.

Thanks for the responses. I'm gonna call the store today and see what's going on, maybe call another store. Perhaps I just missed it or they actually sold out of it. Don't wanna wait for the trade on this one. Thanks.
Edited to Add: called the shop; they got it today. Gonna try and go at lunch.

I missed it on the diamond list, which means I missed it on the Newsarama list thread. But I saw it at the store today so it did come out.
Hopefully they don't forget my copy when they send me my books.

Yeah, I ran out at lunch and got it at the shop today. They told me it just came out today. Weird.
If the boss wasn't here, I would totally read it at my desk during work hours!

Well, I got it yesterday and I liked it. I love Ted's art and while it was still recognizable as being Ted (everyone's pointy fingers are always a giveaway), it was appropriate to the story. Not as angular or dark as in Courtney and I appreciated the use of grey tones.
I can't wait to see where the story goes, and I appreciate that he can write cool female characters. Hopefully when my daughter is older, she can appreciate this book too.
And Polly has a nose!
