Godland/XIII Poll - Please Read

Fedres created, and then closed, a Godland thread in the Other Comics forum. He closed it because I have created an "Official" one already in Talk@ and he is giving me an opportunity to restart it here. My first reaction was to PM him and ask him to reopen his, but then I thought I'd hold this poll.

You see, I think this section could quite well ghetto-ize alot of the smaller companies, and that keeping the only Godland thread here will mean that only the minority of comics readers who enjoy the smaller publishers will ever see it. My proposal would be that we keep two concurrent threads (one in Other and one in Talk) for the duration of this "experiment." If the new format stays we could then ask Matt to bring the "Official" thread over to Other, if you want. I know that administrators can physically move threads from one forum to another.

Anyway. I thought I'd get your imput. Should we have concurrent sister threads, or should we ask Matt to move mine here?

I've decided to poll on another of my "Other" comics threads, XIII, and see what its readers think, but I am asking separately as they may feel differently than the Godland readers.

There are other threads that are intending to be ongoing, such of the Seven Soldiers Overview, and if Matt will move these, perhaps a precedent will be set. We'll see.

I messed up the poll by not setting it up to allow for you to post your response for both Godland and XIII. My apologizes.

Still, I expect you will support Concurrent or Move for either title, so if you just post your reasons why, it will all become clear.

I'll give it a couple of days and then PM Matt or fedres.

I was a bit of a bitch there, sorry. But I honestly didn't want to do a duplicate thread since I should have searched first, although I also wondered if it was truly a duplicate thread if it was in this part vs that part of talk@. So I just closed it. As I was getting ready to do so, I saw the move forums option-I never considered it so thought I'd mention it to you.

Anyhoo. I just wanted to vibe on Godland last night, and it seemed a good time to help out Matt with the experiment. I like the new forums. But this is the type of thing Mr. Matt "The Quiet Man" Brady will have to decide if he keeps the new forums.

But bring it over or I'll just re-open the newer one here. Either way Godland is groovy and should get the nice clean space carved out here by Matt.

I doubt Matt would mind Godland getting some love in Talk@ as well, especially due to the indeterminate future of this forum.

I don't want to prejudge the poll, I did say I would give it a couple of days, but I voted for concurrent threads. I'll give Godland support in both places.

Our choice is obvious, Matt has approved concurrent threads, and fedres has reopened his Godland thread here at Other. So I am closing this one.
