It is consistently one of my favorite titles. Eric J and Arvid are good guys too.

Do yourself a favor and pick it up.

Uh, EricJ doesn't do Rex Mundi anymore...you know that right?

I am an avid fan of it. I thought the last issue was decent, I guess I have to get used to the fact that my favorite artist isn't on it anymore. But it was good none the less.

I love the series....

is it me or has the writing changed as well, or is it just the new artist?.... the pacing seems a little different.

I loved the last issue. I can't say I was struck by any pacing changes, at least nothing that spurred a negative feeling.

I think Di Bartolo's art was awesome. Yes, I really liked EricJ's art, too, and have been preordering his stuff at Moonstone and Narwain. But Arvid could have done a lot worse than Di Bartolo. Those who haven't read his Drowned GN, also published by Image, might want to check it out.

I thought DiBartolo did a good job, my only concern is him doing all of the art chores now, including coloring. They're really going to have to get ahead in order to keep it on a bi monthly schedule I think.

I read it in trade. A lot of thought and effort goes into this book and it shows. Arvid Nelson is top notch.

I believe he also had a story in an issue of X-Men Unlimited, forget which issue.

Di Bartolo is only doing 2 or 3 issues. Arvid has another (unannounced) artist for the book after that, but it looks like they can keep a bi-monthly schedule.

Um, where did you hear that? I've never seen anything saying DiBartolo was only doing 2 or 3 issues.

From the recent Broken Frontier interview.

BF: I know it may be too early to ask considering you’ve only been on the book for one issue but do you think you’ll be the artist to finish this story, Jim?

JD: Well I don’t like to try to predict that far out. If I say “yes” and then don’t, I’ll either look like a liar or like things fell apart. Suffice it to say that I’m really enjoying working on the book and in the world that Arvid, Eric, Jeromy and the gang created. I really enjoy working with Arvid because we’ve become such good friends, and I want the book to be a success. There are so many fantastic things that will happen in the upcoming story arcs that whether it’s me or someone else on the book, I want the fans and readers to know that they’ve got some amazing twists and revelations to look forward to.

Also check out Jose Clement's recent article on Rex Mundi: it's a very interesting read, which covers Eric J leaving the book, and other juicy tidbits...

Love the original creative team of Avrid and Eric.

Good book...still good.

My wife and I enjoy it a lot. With a better timeline of issues, the readership will probably grow for this book.

We need to get the word out. You guys I mean. I only know zombies.

I'd love to see the book come on a more regular schedule, but thats going to be tough.

I mean Jim DiBartolo is learning how to color with a PC while doing his work. :) Thats not easy.

I spent quite a while talking to arvid at WW chicago and he told me that sadly Jim di bartolo is only on for a few issues.

Now it's official. Look at the front page. Small gods artist Juan de Ferrerya is replacing Jim as of issue 15.

Another good find. I was hoping for a long stint by Di Bartolo, 'cause I really like his style, but Ferrerya is an outstanding artist, too, so, once again, Arvid did good.

Then you should check out Revisionary from Moonstone Publishing. Eric will also be doing a few issues of the Phantom for the same publisher.

I wish I hadn't sold my JSA pin up he did, I think when I'm comfortable with money again I'll have him do me another. I love his art, I still have 3 other pieces of his art.

Eric's art is priced very reasonably. I might get a page or two of rex mundi.

If you remember the 2 page splash of the birds view of the blown up church. I bought that. Possibly my favorite piece of comic book art ever.
