Fell, by Warren Ellis caught my attention.
Each issue is a 'done in one' for only 1.99.
For those who only pick up certain issues, they get a full story.
For those who read every month, they get a full story, as well as seeing how the story progresses from point to point.

Yes! Warren Ellis is my god! Templesmith is amazing! Fell is awesome, and issue 2 is out this week. Everyone should pick it up (hell, it's only two dollars). You won't be dissapointed*.
* Note, that isn't a promise, so please don't hold me responsible if you don't. But it is awesome!

Fell was quite good. As is Desolation Jones. Never read a lot of Warren Ellis stuff, but that's two books by him that have been added to my pull list in recent weeks. And I plan on picking up Nextwave as well when it comes out.
(Oh no, I mentioned Desolation Jones, Iron Man, and Nextwave in the Other Publishers forum. )

Dan Didio and Joe Quesada are on their way with a hit squad.

Invincible, Fell, and The Walking Dead are awesome. I hope Image continues to grow and do well.

Fell #1 absolutely rocked! Templesmith is the perfect artist to depict such a bleak city.
Even though it had fewer pages of story/art than a standard comic issue, I felt completely satisfied when I finished it. Great concept, great execution.
Ellis is in fine form these days. (In addition to the others mentioned above, Jack Cross is off to a great start, and there's never been a sour note in Planetary.) I very much look forward to the debut of his four-parter, Down, also published by Image (I think it's under the Top Cow banner) and scheduled to start in November.

I've been buying Strange Girl, Bone Rest, and the various Wildguard thingies. All good stuff. I also bought Fell #1, which wasn't bad, but wasn't that great either. I'll give it a few more issues, though.
I've only recently been buying Image books. It took me a long time to get over my associating them with all the early 90's stuff, which I avoided back then.
I forgot to mention the Kabuki trades, which have been some of my favorite comics ever.

I agree.
I was lucky enough to meet David Mack at WW Boston this weekend.
Class act, nice guy. I picked up some Kabuki prints. :)

Speaking of.... Is there any kind of press release from the creators regarding the cancellation of the book. Forgive me if it's been posted a billion times, but I've been gone for quite a while (and lo and behold I come back to an all-new all-different talk@! But I'm not complaining. I think I like the changes. ;) ).

I, too, am a sad fan of Small Gods.
I did threads on it here, I did reviews in the review forum, i pimped it to friends and customers.
I did all I could.
There was something about it on the front page (not on the main part, but those 'news' threads that are off to the right side.

Damn Right!
Image rocks right now, Invincible, Godland, Fell, Bonerest and evern bloody Shadowhawk are all great books in different ways.
I love how diverse the Image line is, Larsen has done good stuff with his tenure.

I'm not sure about a press release, but Rand posted some stuff on this thread a few days ago. :)

Wow, lucky you. I would love to meet David Mack. Unfortunately, getting to cons is pretty difficult. I'd probably bother the hell out of him, though, so I guess it's just as well. :p
