We are honored to be able to offer them to Gacha collectors.”
Dark Horse is excited to offer these and other Gacha Capsule Toys to the North American comics market. Gacha capsule toys are small collectibles packaged in plastic capsules dispensed at random by a special vending machine. Since many of the toys are part of a series, consumers in Japan actively feed the machines in hopes of obtaining complete sets of their favorite collectibles.
TOMY Yujin Vice President of Sales and Licensing Yusuke Tokashiki commented, “Not only will adding the Marvel characters to our line enhance its value to collectors, but it will also provide retailers a great opportunity to increase sales.”
TOMY Yujin, an affiliate of TOMY, one of Japan’s largest toy companies, developed the Gacha toy-vending program. For over ten years they have been selling miniature licensed toys to the Japanese vending trade. These toys have provided great play value to children while creating a whole new collectible market for adults.
