Keron Grant was the most innovative Iron-Man artist in the last TEN years.

I think that's actually pages five to seven.

The cover does look awesome. Could do without yet another Phoenix retread, but I trust Grant to do something different with it. (Between this and the Ultimate storyline, we could get some cannibalization of this plotline.) But hey...have Jean become all powerful and then *fry* Emma and Scott for having an affair! Now that would be interesting! ;)

Did the Stepford Cuckoos age significantly in the past year? When they showed up in the Cassandra Nova storyline, they looked about 10 years old; now, they're at least 14 if not 16/17.

It's too bad Van Sciver left X-Men and Marvel all together. He was starting to do some really great work. But, I guess I can stand to see one less artist in the cycle of revolving artists. :)

That art is DAMN pretty...

Furthermore, it looks like we'll be seeing more of the semi-invisible kid! YEAH!!!

Oh wow, ANOTHER New X-men artist. so let's see, this book is about the school's mutants and no longer really about the X-Men themselves? Great, but I buy X-Men for the X-men (haha, I don't actually buy X-Men, but I might if it was any good). Make a new title or something, something that it's ok for Morrison to mess up. someone wake me up when the nightmare is over

So did they actually go through with the affair? I think I missed that issue. Now Scott is not only a guy that abandons his wife and newborn when his high school hottie returns, but he's also unfaithful to her? Ha.

This art is really bad. I've been skipping quite a few issues of this book. I pick it up and check out the artist and see whats going on and then decide if I'm going to buy. This one is a definate skip. I'm getting tired of these one issue boring bad art fill-ins. When is the next story line with action and art that are worth reading?

We have no idea if they went through with the affair or not yet. But I think the very things that you list about Scott is what makes him so interesting: He wants to be this strong superhero type, and he's very good at it... but it's the only thing that he IS very good at, because in almost every other part of his life, he's a weak man who doesn't know who he is or what he wants...

Well, it didn't take him to long to greeve over Jean after Japan ca. UXM 118, "Hellooooo, Colleen Wing". After that, it was Lee Forrester wasn't it? And then *bam* Maddelyn, and then Jean, and then Betsy, and then he got married, and then he died, and now Emma. Almost make Logan look like a saint dosn't he. :D
