The Losers tells the tale of a Special Forces unit by the same name. Supposedly murdered after uncovering a CIA covert/black operation overseas, the Losers survived. Feeling betrayed and forgotten by the country they served, the Losers have declared war on the CIA.
The high concept of the series is all about action and suspense, Andy Diggle told Newsarama.
"The Losers is a slick, smart, hip, widescreen action thriller with brains and a social conscience," Diggle said.

Not really familiar with either creator, but the storyline's right up my alley.
The artwork and covers have definitely sold me enough to check it out too.

This series seems fantastic and I hope it will be the political-action thriller it seems to be reading the preview.
I'm in.

Wasn't this the premise of the TV show, The A-Team?

As much as I like this concept, I would really like for there to be SOME acknowledgment of the team from World War 2. The DC heroes of World War II were the best out there: Creature Commandos, G.I. Robot, The Losers, Sgt. Rock and Easy Co., the Unknown Soldier, Haunted Tank...at least maybe acknowledge the old team (who died during Crisis on Infinite Earths) as the beginners of a legacy of covert teams called the Losers or as the inspiration for this group to call themselves that. Not to seem like a continuity geek (which I am) but I enjoy a story that shares a premise with an earlier story much more if it is tied in somehow to the original premise. I though Truman's Creature Commandos would have benefitted immensely from the acknowledgment of the past.

Well, if this is even half as good as Jonny Double was then I am going to LOVE it. Can't wait, man. This sounds fantastic.

This is the comic I'm most looking forward to this year, Vertigo is on a hot streak lately and it doesn't look like it's gonna end anytime soon.

As a political activist, I must say that I'm really excited about this title. I'm already trying to spread awareness of this book throughout the Liberal/Democratic forums in which I post.
Hat's off to the creators for having the guts to do something like this during a time when the people like the Dixie Chicks can get hell from a simple joke.
See my sig for more about how I feel about the current state of affairs.

ok although i admit i am interested in this book has anyone read Lady constantine? it was pure shit. i picked the book out of loyal duty to all constantine related titles but i hated every page of that book.
this new book seems like it might have a really cool premise and i can really dig Jock's art im not sure i will like it if the writing is anything like lady constantine. for all of you who havent read it find a copy in some dime bin. try to read it if you can. THEN check out Losers.

Sounds pretty damn cool to me, too.
For that matter, I actually kinda liked Lady Constantine. Sounds like Vertigo is continuing its stretch of killer books. (No pun intended.)
