The publisher has provided Newsarama with preview pages from Sandscape #1.

From Dreamwave’s solicitation for Sandscape #1:

From the creators of Arkanium, Dreamwave Productions proudly and finally presents their hottest new title…Sandscape! Welcome to the planet of Dessica, a barren wasteland of sand and rock. It is here that two factions – the Sercotion High Empire and the Paren Cascade – have been warring for decades.

As her hometown is suddenly attacked without warning, she finds herself trapped amidst a shocking and brutal conflict. Little does Valeri know, she is now dead in the center of a ploy between the two warring factions that may forever shape the fate of Dessica.

Issue #1 features a triple-gate cover by Lou Kang and Ramil Sunga.

Looks good! I"ve been waiting for LIMBO CITY and respect the creators decision to have postponed it due to personal reasons. Better than saying it's going to be out and then not producing it. This Sands series looks good as well.

Well it looks good like all of Dreamwave's first issues but time will tell if it stays consitant.

At least we can now see why Shidima was as dismal as it was, Kang was saving himself for the long overdue Sandscape.

Ill keep and eye out for this one in january.

Looks and sounds great, and I'll be there. BUT - where's Darkminds, damnit?!? They solicit a trade for the first (only) four issues, but there's no conclusion on the horizon. To quote the Hurrricane: "What's up wit that?"

I've always loved Lou Kang's work. Will this be shipped outside of North America?

The Chen sisters left the book and now they don't have a team to take over.

Yeah, I know - but why couldn't they find a team? That's what I'm wondering. DarkMinds put Pat Lee on the map - it's his baby, really - and I'm really suprised he himself hasn't finished it. Oh - and wrapping up the series in 4 issues? Damn, but that would be anticlimatic and foolish (storywise - otherwise, it might be best for all).
