Written by Mark Millar
Art by Greg Land
Summary: Mr. Fantastic, from another universe, explains how his world was destroyed. Then Ultimate Reed Richards evades the Fantastic Four zombies/ vampires. Then other ex-heroes try and bite him but they are stopped by that universe's Magneto (damn does Land draw a great Magneto!!!). Magneto then explains that him, and three humans are the last uninfected people. Ultimate Fantastic Three find the teleporter Reed used and the Zombtastic Four are there to great them and try to infect the Ultimate world.
Review: My only problems is that Hercules and Thor didn't talk how they usually talk (their usual talk is awesome!!!) and Power Man didn't say "Sweet Christmas". Other than that, great issue.
Rating: B+

The way Land drew Magneto bombing the zombies with hundreds of cars qualified as 'the Shiznit'.
Story A-.
Art A.
Fast paced good $#!+ by Millar and Land.

Is this not the scariest situation in a comic in a long time? Seriously, the more I think about it ... it just haunts even more. 24 hours. One freaking day. This is about the most horrific thing ever, and the cliffhanger makes it even worse.
[ Slight spoiler ]
Only one moment of relief: "HULK IS THE HUNGRIEST ONE OF ALL!" That was laugh out loud funny, even if the situation wasn't.

I have to admit, I like the FF with zombies. It's not something you usually put together, but it's working here.
Not to mention that tricking Ultimate Reed to come to their dimention would probably be exactly what a zombie Reed would think of doing.
Still not digging Land's art. But I can live with it so long as he stays away from drawing Sue as a pinup.

The only thing i've ever bought that has been written by Land is the last issue of Ultimate FF. last issue i wasn't incredably happy about a couple of the pages...especially with Sue. However after this issue I am definately a fan.
magneto was great.
story seemed a little short to me but all good things seem to go by quicky

I really am enjoying UFF now. Wow, this issue was great. Too many reasons to list.

Man, this is shaping up to be a perfect arc, isn't it?
Millar's writing is in great shape and the guy has more great ideas rattling around in that brain than Alan Moore (okay, maybe not, but close). And, god, Greg Land is UNBELIEVABLE!!! He continuously blows me away throughout, just as he did with his early Sojourn work and the X-Men: Phoenix-Endsong miniseries.
And in only three issues? Remember short arcs? Thank you!
I've enjoyed Ultimate Fantastic Four from the beginning (though the N-Zone and Doom arcs were each two issues too long), but this is shaping up to easily outdo the previous four as the best one yet.

Alan Davis, Jim Lee, Fred Perry, Adam Kubert, Kia Asamiya, CLAMP, Masashi Kishimoto, Ed McGuiness, Salvadore Larroca (when he has a good colorist), Frank Quietly, Adam Hughes, Frank Cho, Art Adams, Alex Ross, Josh Middleton, Fancis Yu, Robert Kirkman...
Land does pretty work, really he does. But he can't seem to resist putting all his females into these pinup poses, even if it really doesn't fit their character. Not to mention that by working directly over photos, it really makes a lot of the comic feel stiff to me. This issue wasn't so bad since it was mostly Reed and Magneto, and Land isn't so inclined to draw men in pinup poses.

The past four issues of this book have knocked my socks off. Part of this is due to excellent creators working on excellent ideas. But I think a big part is also due to SMALL ARCS. I think "N-Zone" and maybe even "Doom" would have packed far more punch if they were four issues long, max. The first year of this book really did drag, even if it had some terrific moments. I was worried about this creative team but I am so, so happy with this arc. It really is the FF exploring all the nutsy science stuff you'd never think of. More, please!

If Land gave equal oportunity, we'd be getting more stuff like this:

so... frickin... scary....
i cant believe how good that was, land is a perfect artist for it too... i never imagined 28 days later meeting the marvel universe before but its really well done and almost as scary as the movie is.

I like Land's work a lot. But right now it seems like both of the FF artists I'm reading (Land on Ult, and McKone on the main title) are only hitting 3 out of the four acceptably. Land is drawing the most effeminate Johnny Storm ever seen in the history of comics. (I think McKone's Thing is pretty bad, BTW)
As several people mentioned, the small arc is definitely making things tighter. Great for the pacing.

This is a brilliant arc, I have been really surprised so far, the story has had a lot of twists and turns and so much has happened.
If this had been Ellis we would've been into our fourth issue.
Greg Land's art was also a lot less static this time which made the issue a lot better.
It wasn't really that scary but it was still really cool.
