Writer: Daniel Way
Artist: Steve Dillon
Slowly we find out what Bullseye did with the nuclear missiles (he made a jungle gym out of them and placed them in a park) but it's still a complete mystery what happened to the plutonium from the warheads. The 2 agents know Bullseye is just screwing with them so they decide to wait him out. And we go deeper into Bullseye's past where he becomes a great pitcher... only to kill someone during the game. And that leads him with a gig with the CIA! And it's pretty funny when they first take him to the shooting range. But the best part of it all was the last 2 pages... Bullseye reveals he was on a mission in Nicaragua. The agent asks him if it was messy.
Bullseye: Where you there?
Agent Baldry: No...
Bullseye: Then you have no idea.
And it ends with a great image of the Punisher! I can't wait to see what Way and Dillon have in store for Punisher vs Bullseye.
Overall I'm totally surprised by Way. This guy seems to know how serial killers think and how investigators would approach them. Dillon does a great job on art duties, especially with the last page. These 2 guys are perfect for the book.
I give this an A. Better than #1 and we get cooler moments. This is shaping up to be a great mini-series and there are 3 or 4 more issues left.
