As good a story as Seven Soldiers was, I must admit I prefer the old school Klarion (bum-bum-BUM) the Witch Boy. He was good when Kirby created him, but he became a star in the Alan Grant / Val Semeiks version in the 90's, and of course his major turn in Sins of Youth.

Morrison's take on him, looking like an extra from a Tim Borton movie as drawn by Yoshitaka Amano is nice, but you kind of know immediately that he can't be on the up and up. Old School Klarion had that innocent look that would put you off your guard.

He's Klarion...bum Bum BUM...The Witchboy.

That's just the way I remember him.

I'm also a fan of Klarion... Bum bum BUM!!... the Witch Boy! :D

Like I said in the other thread, Morrison's version looks like he, for some reason, has Dr. Drakken envy. I half-expect him to find a green-skinned sidekick with glowing hands and attempt to rap about brainwashing shampoo...

I loved Morrison's take.
I've never read the original Kirby stories, but I like the 7 soldiers version better than the 90s one.
