He's the wrath of god. It's high time he began kicking ass and taking names again.

And he's going after doctor light. I really wonder how he'll punish a rapist and if the idea punishment is suitable for a non-Vertigo DC comic :-D

Identity Crisis wasn't Vertigo. I'd say there's a fair amount of leeway.

i'm ready to see the Spectre actually feel like a part of the DCU again. i realize he's way too powerful and has way too important a mission to be "crime-fighting" now, but i have never liked ol' Spec as much as i did in the old days, when he was actually a semi-regular member of the JSA.
Easy one for Dr. Light. Death by Snoo-snoo.

Death by S.N.U.H.? Now that's wicked.

I'd like to see the Spectre become a Red Lantern. He is the WRATH of God after all.....:D :p
(Plus he could get a 'groovy' new red cape and draws thrown into the bargain!!!)

The Spectre has just been kind of boring since Infinite Crisis.

The spirit of vengeance actually. The wrath of God is Eclipso.

I love the Spectre and would love to see him step up and kick some serious ass again.

The first step in fixing the Spectre: Get rid of Crispus Allen.
Step two: find a host who is a better counterballance to the Spectre's uncontrollable wrath.
Step three: A series with a touch of an "Odd Couple" kind of feel, with the dueling natures of host and Spectre drive the underlying conflict in the series.
Personally, I'd ressurect Terry Sloane, the first Mr. Terrific to fill the role. It would be perfect. A man who epitomizes Fair Play, with a spirit of wrath who doesn't play fair. What more do you want in a comic.

and i'd also update his look into something, y'know, actually terrifying. i mean, i don't think a pale guy in a green cape, underpants, and pixie boots would strike me as the embodiment of divine retribution.

The interviews say that the central idea is that Spectre is unable to kill Light. Which is good, because despite him being a rapist and a horrible human being there is still some writing potential in him, the same as with Hannibal Lecter.

He was cool in Countdown to Infinite Crisis.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Greg Rucka is going to do.
A Question/Spectre partnership is actually quite intriguing to me given their past history and the current nature of their respective lives.
Shouldn't the Wrath of God start asking certain questions about the way of the Universe?
