Sweetness! Who else is going to be picking these up? I like the idea, even though I've never read a thing by any of the writers.

It sounds cool at first, but I think it's a bit much.

I'll probaby grab these in trade unless they get excellent reviews.

I think I will. It seems like an interesting premise. I only wish they would have done one on the Riddler (even though he is seemingly reformed, he has a great deal of history with the Joker). I also wish they would have done one on Ra's, after all he's now part of the Arkham family.

BTW, cool sig Parademon.

Nope. I probably would have picked them up had it just been normal one shots without Joker's involment. I'm really, really, burned out on Joker and it's a shame because I do like the character, just not when he's everywhere.

Cheers! Love Cliff Chiang's work.

I'd love to see Dini do another done-in-one Riddler tale in Detective where the Riddler manages to solve a case quicker than Batman, which really gets under his skin. Sort of a vaguely comedic story.

BAT-universe (related) story = BW will be getting it...99% sure.

I understand where you're coming from. The Joker is definitely overexposed. Hopefully after TDK, DC will give the Joker a nice long vacation.

I'm sure they'll be great for fans of the Batman franchise, but I hate that franchise so I'm staying well clear.

If DC had just let David Hine write write all 5 books I'd pick them up but too many of these writers are marginal. Love Poison Ivy but J T Krul's stuff never impreses me. Then you've got Arvid Nelson of that absurd Mr Horrible story doing the Joker issue. Too much water in this soup for my money.

I think it's a neat idea, but its not really enough to get me to buy all of those one-shots.

I'll try one issue,

remember that outsiders 5 of a kind weekly one shots?

well only 2 of them turned out well in my opinion. the other 3 were crap.

jason aaron's penguin issue should be good too. his work on scalped and the other side is impressive.

David Hine and Jason Aaron are two of my favorite writers, so I'm there. I've also enjoyed some of J.T. Krul's work, so that's a good pick. Yeah - I'm on this one.

If it's any good, I'll buy the trade. None of the writers nor artists really jump out at me and make me want to buy the singles.

Under normal circumstances I may have been tempted - but July is already a pretty big month, and none of those writers are people I know that well, so no.

I'll wait for the trade.
