On this edition of the Word Balloon Podcast, Host John Siuntres welcomes back writer Jay Faerber who discusses his unique spin on superhero books.

The conversation revolves around Jay's three current hero books, all from Image Comics...

Dynamo 5 the story of 5 illegitimate super powered offspring of a iconic but flawed super-dad.

Noble Causes is Jay's super-powered soap opera which is returning and advancing the story and characters five years into the future which will reveal new relationships, romances and conflicts for Doc Nobel and his family of heroes and villains.

Plus, Jay previews his new 5 part mini series out in May entitled Gemini, of which he describes as a "Manchurian Candidate"-hypnotically programmed super-hero (who by day is unaware of his hyper-powered alter ego), and the secret spy team that has programmed him, and guides him.

I saw the solicit for this book (GEMINI) in the latest Previews.

I love the look of the lead character (very 3-D Man meets Peter Cannon, Thunderbolt!), but unfortunately the art style left me cold, so I'm afraid I'll be passing on it.

VERY excited about NOBLE CAUSES, though.

Wow...talk about weird. Back in 2000, I created and copyrighted a superhero team called Gemini 5 and now there are these 2 individual titles (Dynamo 5 and Gemini) mentioned in the same article.

Weird. (for me, that is).

Anyway...I really like the "idea" behind Dynamo 5, even though I haven't read an issue yet. But, after browsing through some of the issues, I've seen enough to say that the art work is outstanding.

Dynamo 5 is great have gotten all the single issues and then bought the trade just because. Will check out Gemini the preview in the back of the last issue of Dynamo 5 look very nice, and it sounds like a cool idea.
