OK, gang. Now that we've finished up the excerpts from Spider-Man: The Icon, thanks to the generous support of Matt Brady and Newsarama, it's entirely up to us.
The whole idea of this forum was to give you the chance to attack the book with a critical eye, and let me know if there's anything we need to clear up. We addressed the title, and the story behind Mark Bagley's tenure on Ultimate Spider-Man. I noticed that at one point I credited Louise Simonson with creating X-Factor, and while she was one of the talented creators who worked on X-Factor, she didn't actually create the series.
Now, if those are the only glitches in the book, I'll be ecstatic. Somehow, though, I doubt it.
So go forth and gather the critics. Those anal-retentive denizens who prowl the Internet, seeking the slow, the weak, the factually challenged. And bring them back to this forum, to sniff for blood and--if they catch the scent--go for the jugular. While we're at it, lets have some fun. Talk about our favorite (and least favorite) moments in Spider-History.
One last note: if you want to see more books like Spider-Man: The Icon, then make sure your friends all know about the book, and how cool you think it is. I might not be the one who writes other such volumes, but I still think it would be cool to have them done. For a publisher to take that chance, though, they need proof that they can pay the bills.
The ball's in your court now!
