I always liked Amazing Spider-Man #311. Spidey is reflected in Mysterio's helmet and his reflection is all twisty and distorted. A cool image.

Was it Amazing Spider-Man #56 or something like that, where Romita drew Spidey hunched over in the rain? I'm a really big fan of that image, as well as the SPIDER-MAN 3 poster with a very similar pose.

DarkKnight08 included a Charles Vess image from Web of Spider-Man #1, and we have that one in the book, sans logo.

Charles also had a couple of pieces stored digitally, and kindly shared the files with us, so we included a special print he had done for his graphic novel, and a double-page spread that had been a fold-out in one of the 30th anniversary issues.

Check 'em out--they're breathtaking!

Agreed. We have a full-page in the book, with Spidey lifting the rubble. That scene affected more aspiring comic book writers and artists than we'll ever know.

Funny story: we originally got a scan of the page from a source who had bleached out some of the tanning of the paper, leaving the image looking awful. A person very high up at Titan Books even thought it had been re-drawn, and badly! So I took out my copy of the issue, and scanned it at 400 dpi (along with a bunch of other very important images).

Thus, what you see in the book looks just as it would in an actual copy of Amazing #33. It had to be done.
