No way. Marvel showed it in the Comic Con and some people are complaining "why am I seeing junks pasted together?" (it supposed to be made of junks found in a storeroom, einstein).

I haven't been commenting on the poster itself - now Iron Man wears the right red. It's a bit brighter than the drab one shown in the Empire magazine cover although not as bright as Spidey.

I want to see Hulk poster made with same half face posture too. And Thor and Cap next, whoever the actors maybe.

better get it together soon.

No news yet, Cap has a chance to be postponed to 2010 because of an impending Hollywood strike.

Thor has a trouble finding the right actor becauce of the stature and acting requirement. Marvel wants wrestlers, the director wants actors who might not be so tall.

Those are both horrible, horrible choices. I can't think of anyone better, but there has to be someone. Someone more... "square-jawed"...?

With a little weight training, Aaron Eckhart would be a great Cap.

In Ultimates Nick Fury said something like

did you know they are making a movie about us, who's playing Cap, Brad Pitt.
and then someone asked Fury, who's playing you, Fury said
Mr. Sam Jackson of course :D

Youre not kidding?! Cool. I dont follow Ultimates though, Im loving my 616 continuity, and even if I want to, my budget for comics is set to max. As long as Stark is the leader of both worlds, its all good!

he has the baby-face for it. but he would need to seriously bulk up for the role. I'm talking like the Machinist Christian Bale to Batman Begins Christian Bale type of diet.

like how Nick Cage is Johnny Blaze? Bradd Pitt looks young though, so he's okay,
he's in his late 30s? he was great looking in Troy, it would be a good match.
I don't know if they can as big as star as Pitt though.

Military doesn't enlist people older than 36 iirc. And that's a recent change. Not sure how it was during WWII. Once you're in, though, you're in.

Johnny Blaze could be whatever age, really.

It will only happen if he really want to do it.

BaldWombat

I wish that instead of a movie we would get a WWII era Cap TV show that was done with a really deep military/politcal tone. You could have a bunch of characters show up like Wolverine. I just think that if it were done right it would be very popular.

sweetmisery
10-05-2007, 11:58 AM
Well if they can do it with Harry Potter, why not? Though I dont really think a lot of people will mind at all of Cap's age.

face it. they just can't pin Captain America on someone closer to 50 than 30. I like Brad Pitt as an actor as much as everybody else, but he just doesn't have the longevity for Cap. It's best they give it to some new actor who has the chops or find someone new entirely.

it actually was easier to do that with the public perception. most "teen" actors in TV and movies are in their 20s.

WWII Cap is the way to go. If they set it modern, they'll have problems marketing it without it being considered a propoganda movie.

which speech--I must've missed it. The trailer I saw had Tony talking about being a "merchant of Death" and enjoys selling weapons of destruction.

those are pretty anti-American or at least anti-Corporate America.
