WOLVERINE/PUNISHER 2
COVER BY: GARY FRANK
WRITER: PETER MILLIGAN
PENCILS: LEE WEEKS
Let me first say, that Ive always enjoyed the confrontations between Wolverine and Punisher. Its like Cake and Ice Cream. I cant explain it, but they always go good together ( not that they do good things together).
OK, now to the review.
(spoilers ahead)
Our two favorite lugs are in the jungle looking for the same person. Frank wants him dead, Wolvie wants him to face trial ( Logan wanting him to go to court? yes I am as confused as you are) anyways, turns out they call a truce for a while and head over to a town to get some rest. Of course this town is anything but normal. You have those who wanna kill wolvie and those who wanna kill punisher.
The book is pretty good. I must say I always enjoy the writting of Milligan, and the art is well done by Lee Weeks. Fantastic Covers by Gary Frank (hope to see more of this guy in the furture).
Issue 2 has a surprise ending where the man they're both searching for is actually now dead (killed by the towns people) and his head is offered to a 'god father' type character. His face is yet to be revealed.
All in all a good second issue to a pretty good series so far. Again the first 2 issues are the set up. Its from here, where things are very likely to get odd and interesting
Overall: B+
ps- saw Punisher the movie on tuesday. Bad Movie. Oddly enough, Tom Jane was pretty good as Frank though
