Venom #13; who bought it?
Herrera was okay but they really should have just let Galloway do the whole book.I would love to see this guy gets some Teen Titans work. Even my wife liked the book, and she I both hate VENOM.Cheeks, you are new here, so maybe you dont know but you have actually give a review. It was a cool issue, I am sure that you have a lot to say.

I got Venom 13 and thought it suffered from the same problem as so many Marvel titles of late, way to slow. So we are now waiting for issue 14 to finally begin the series actual story line. Issue 13 catches us up to the stuff they never told us prior ro issue #1 and leaves off, literally, as #1 begins. We now know there are two venoms, one which was cloned from a chunk of Venom's tongue, but how this fits in with the first arc from Spectacular's apearance of Venom is kind of iffy. Add to that the rediculous origin of our "Men in Black" alien hunter sent by Nick Fury? What? This book is not terrible, it just not that good.
This story line moves at a similat pace to Thor or Hulk lately. Starts out fine, but it's been over a year and we still don't even know what the main character IS. A tongue Clone? It doesn't seem to need a host body so much as to eat humans. If the next arc doesn't clear up all of this, including Spiderman, Eddie Brock, the Fantasitic Four, Nick Fury, and even the (totaly rediculous) Men in Black killer alien hunting robot, then I'm dropping this title.
It's ok, but not worth the three bucks a hit to have nothing happen. The cloning and mastermind named... Bob? It's just to silly for my taste.

I love the way this book is shaping out. I'm glad these past three issues filled us in that this symbiote is not Brock's symbiote. We also have some idea of where the Suit came from, and appears to have a connection to the "Bobs" (heh, Office Space), since they're also made up of those nanites. Interesting how this symbiote is more like the rest of its race, killing other life forms rather than take them as hosts. That's what made Brock's symbiote different from the rest, it preferred to take the organisms as hosts. All in all, this story was good filler leading up to the next arc where Brock, Robertsons, and Spidey go at it. Oh, and I think Brock's escape from S.H.I.E.L.D. leads into Spectacular, but that's just a hunch.

Ah, what a perfect place for me to drop the book. Horrible art, convulted (not to mention silly) story.
I really enjoyed the firsst 3 issues of this series. I think, with a different artist (not overeggerated), this would have made the perfect horror MAX book. Its a shame its turned into this.

lol Sorry to upset ya Nam. I encounterd alot of obstacles while drawing the issue, due to me never having done more than 6 pages of sequentials in my life up until I got the gig. I think after a couple more years of working very hard at it, I should be able to find my comfort zone while laying out future pages. I had to draw 16 pages in a 15 days for the title. Something I have never thought possible. hahaha Thanx for input, and I'll definitely step up my art.

Is this for real? Ive never seen an artist post on a review of their work before.
This has been another of the books I have always meant to pick up but havent gotten around to it yet. I think the overexaggerated/distorted look works well for Venom, from what I have seen of it.
