Ok, so I picked this Manga sized digest up because I've been reading Spidergirl for awhile but I hadn't got read the start of the series. These stories explain the beginnings of Spidergirl and how she deals with her powers.

I'm a big fan of this series (alot more people should be). These stories read like old school spiderman stories from the Lee and Romita age. There is alot of action and some great charactor development. There are some problems though. The villans are quite stupid and campy but alot of Spidermans early villians weren't quite ready for prime time either.

This is also a great starting book for teenagers (especially girls) and should be marketed that way

So, in closing, if you haven't read this material before I think it's a good read.

I've been reading Spider-Girl since I got back into comics almost 2 years ago. About the time it was saved from cancellation. I've been wanting to try to get the rest of the issues. Glad they decided to do the Marvel Age trades.

It's campy at times, but I enjoyed this trade. And my daughter who is 4 was excited I got it. She looked through it all day.

Glad to hear you think this is great for girls.

My 8-year-old daughter picked it up in the store. I'm not a big Spider-Girl fan, but of course I encourage her to follow her own fandom.

She loves it. She's actually filled me in on a lot of stuff about this chick.

Man ... I can't say this enough:

Thank you, Marvel, for this Marvel Age stuff. My kid is loving it.
