Dead @ 17: Blood of Saints #1 is a great first issue. Not only does it help new readers with a summary on the front page and through the character dialog, but it takes the series in a new direction.
Instead of just creating more and more zombies, Howard adds depth to the characters and makes them more recognizable. Of course, he also creates a new bad guy...or rather, a new bad dead girl.
I can't wait for the rest of this series.
