If the next issue shows up on 16th, it'll have been one year.

Jim Lee is well onto his way to topping this with WildCATS issue 2. We'll probably be lucky to even see that solicited by it's 1 year anniversary.

Well at least with Wildcats, he's waiting on a script from Morrison. AS Bats was Lee's fault, Wildcats...at least as far as issue #2, not so much.

It's absolutely true. Lee has been working solely on AS Batman, and has 3 (or close to 3) issues stockpiled of it. Meanwhile, he's waiting on scripts from Morrison, who is also behind on Batman, The Authority, and AS Superman.

And I'll be getting the latest issue of AS Bats too.

Ok I'll except that, same question to you, why are you gonna get it? It's not even that good of a book? Is it simply because it's Batman or Jim Lee? or both?

Honestly, I buy anything by Jim Lee -- he's my favorite artist. I usually try to get stuff that he just does covers on too. BUT, taking Lee out of the equation, I'd get the book anyway, because it's such a fascinating title for all the wrong reasons. It's just crazy, and absurd, and as such, it's one of the "must read" books whenever it comes out, just to see the pure spectacle of it. It's like a horriffic car crash that you can't look away from as you drive by.

That is ridiculous. There are delays and there's incompetence. Fortunately this book is crap anyway.

That's just awesome.

Seriously, one year between issues.

I couldn't pull that off if I tried.......and I'm a total procrastinator.......

The sad thing is that Battle Chasers beats that easily as it went from like August of 1999 to January 2001 for the next issue to come out.

And Dylan Horrock's "Atlas" beats that. Issue 1 was July 2001, issue 2 was spring 2005 and issue 3 came out in the fall last year.

Well, it's on Diamond's "Shipping Next Week" list. We won't have an idea until Friday, and won't know for sure until Monday.

i started this weekend re-reading all the lead-in minis to Infinite Crisis (3 down and halfway through VU now, then i'll re-read all of IC in one sitting for the first ime since it came out).

what really brought a smile to my face was seeing the "upcoming events" page (whatever theywere called before they were changed to DC Nation), and remembering that Justice #1 came out the month after ASBARTBW #1. so, at this stage, we've had 11 issues of a bi-monthly book come out, as opposed to 4 issues of a "monthly" (yeah, right...) that had a 1-month head-start.

so that's roughly 4 issues in 23 months. just disgraceful.

I may end up getting this as well, but I am in the school of thought that I will wait another 8weeks and pick it up as a back issue and not give them credit for a sale. It is not much, but what else can you do?

I will never drop a book from my pull list just because it's late. Two reasons why:

1. If it's in my pull list, I probably like it enough to wait. In this case I like the art more than the story, but I do like the new takes on different characters (Canary, Superman).

2. I get a discount on my pull list based on how many ongoing titles I have there. Regardless of the book being late or not, it still counts as an ongoing and keeps me over the threshold for a 20% discount. Meanwhile, I can try another book.
