Bought the set that came out today and took a peek at the special features namely them talking about the Cadmus arc.. (um what? That in the previous dvd collection what's it doing here?) and the creators of the show doing a somewhat commentary on four episodes (really they talk for about 10 mins about the best parts of the episode and how it came a long).
Plus Destroyer we get an all music track which is sweet. Though rewatching these JLU arcs can't help but make me think:
Civil War = Cadmus Arc
Apoklips Invasion = Infinite Crisis
I know I know it isn't (IC came first) but damn it is wierd these sorts of arcs happening at the end and then the comics adapting these sort of things. So who else bought it or Batman Beyond S3?

Picked up both at lunch today. BB for the youngest's B-day next month and JLU for us to watch until then. :)
Can't wait to watch the SSoV episode again. Only caught that the once.
Regard,
Jamie
I bought them as well..
The Superman/Darkseid punch was awesome..

Isn't it really season 4? I thought there were two season of Justice League and 2 seasons of Justice League Unlimited

Just from a 'Trinity' point of view, the thing that JLU (heck, the whole Timm-verse) has over the comic version (especially the current JLA) is that they gave all three, Bats, Supes n' Wondy, proper emotions...
...Batman was neither overly Dark Knight (ala Frank Miller) nor Dork Knut (Morrison)
...Wondy wasn't the Uber-(pseudo?)-Heartless bitch nor the Diana 'Wimp' Prince of Heinberg. Moreover, she really developed, both her 'human' side and (in the later seasons) her confidence/diplomatic side.
...As for Supes, the biggest thing about him was, NO EMO WUSS-MAN. He didn't break out into bawls at the drop of a hat.

It would really be season 5, two seasons of JL, three of JLU.

Wait. I thought there were only two seasons of JLU. The Cadmus one and the Secret Society/Legion of Doom one. Or are those the last two seasons and the first season didn't have an overarching story and I just forgot about it?
Which one had the Legion of Doom stuff? That one was my favorite.

First season was kind of a lead up to Cadmus, ending with "Once and Future Thing", a time travel/riff on COIE story. Second was Cadmus ending with "Divided We Fall" vs Luthor/Brainiac (with an annoying epilouge episode afterward). Third was Legion of Doom/Darkseid's return ending wth "Destroyer".

What was released as JLU season one actually contained seasons one and two. Each was 13 episodes.
It was season 3 (what was released as season 2) that has the Legion of Doom.

Exactly which also had Luthor at his best, "I was going to do this in a couple of weeks, but seriously your master plan was turning everyone into apes?" :p
