JLA/JSA: Dystopian Futures?

I read that people were questioning Didio (and he was barely bing commital) about the respective future timelines of the JLA and the JSA, saying that they were respectively heading toward The Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come. While I can see how JSA is potentially moving toward Kingdom Come, I can't figure out what seeds from DKR are being planted in JLA.

Anybody got any ideas?

In JLA #0 Meltzer showed the Big Three from the past and the future. One of the futures, with Supes and WW talking about Batman's death, was clearly supposed to be after the end of DKR.
