I though New Avengers was a "Initiative Related title"? Shouldn't it's solicit also be with these? Hopefully on tuesday will get a New Avenger solicit.

WORLD WAR HULK #1 (of 5)
Written by GREG PAK
Penciled by JOHN ROMITA JR.
Cover by DAVID FINCH
Variant Cover by JOHN ROMITA JR.
Marvel's massive summer smashfest begins! Exiled by a group of Marvel "heroes" to the savage alien planet of Sakaar, the Hulk raged, bled and conquered through the pages of last year's "Planet Hulk" epic, rising from slave to gladiator to king. Now the Hulk returns to Earth to wreak his terrible vengeance on Iron Man, Reed Richards, Dr. Strange and Black Bolt -- and anyone else who gets in his way. Stronger than ever, accompanied by his monstrous Warbound gladiator allies, and possessed by the fiercest and purest rage imaginable, the Hulk may just tear this stupid planet in half. The epic story of anger unbound begins with this special double-sized issue written by "Planet Hulk" scribe Greg Pak and penciled by the legendary John Romita, Jr.
48 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOT AGAIN!!! Why aren't the JR JR covers the standard ones?! AAAAARGH!!!

That one Solicitation is even more proof that Mighty Avengers is nothing more than a Kids Title. Four short sentences, each ending an explanation mark, and they're all predictable cliches.
Ultron has taken over the world!! - Right, and that's a new concept...how?
The Black Widow has taken over S.H.I.E.L.D.! - Of course. And that's really going to be permanent, seeing as Tony Stark's title now refers to him as 'Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.' - maybe we'll just fire him for a day, huh?
The Sentry's life is changed FOREVER! - What, again?
And the rest of the Avengers are faced with the power of the new Iron Man unleashed!! - Hm. First, I'm presuming that this 'unleashed' thing means all his armours are coming alive. Oh great, that's really interesting...except, like, not. Second, we've seen what Iron Man is like, unleashed, during Civil War. It's not pretty.

Oh, please. It's designed as a fun read; Nextwave wasn't a kids title, and neither is She-Hulk, both of which are much more farcical than this series is. If it was a kids title, they'd market it as such. Solicits are laden with cliches and short sentences. The solicits for New Avengers use two or three exclamation marks per sentence.
Ultron has never taken over the world before; at most, he killed one country. Since Iron Man has been hijacked, Black Widow is supervising SHIELD. The Sentry's life being changed forever is hyperbole/may be true, in any case, it's marketing. As for "Iron Man unleased" (the solicits really love that word "unleashed"; last issue, it was the "then Sentry unleashed"), I don't see anything that marks that as strictly a kids thing.

I don't know what they're doing with Spidey. I think maybe they're looking at him more as a draft dodger or something along those lines?

I'm pumped for New Warriors now. I wanted it before but now that solicitation makes me want it more. Sofia was my favorite of the New X-Men before they depowered her. I was upset they took her out of the book. I hope this is why. She's a great character that I can't wait to see again!

Okay, I was wondering about that without expecting it (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?p=3249088#post3249088) in the New Warriors NYCC06 thread, and whether "Sophia" was a typo, given the "depends on what you call Latina" hint. With that solicit, looks like it was :)

AVENGERS CLASSIC #1
Written by STAN LEE & DWAYNE MCDUFFIE

Lot of good looking stuff.
But I'm worried about launching titles like New Warriors, Omega Flight, the new Champions, and Sub-Mariner during WWH. I hope it doesn't hurt the sales of them, as they all look somewhat promising.

Er... the Cap solicitation is all one sentence... and not a spectacularly coherent sentence. Ah well, I guess there's only so much you can say without saying anything.
But for Iron Man... are Charles and Daniel Knauf off the book, or is this just a WWH temporary thing? I was really hoping for great things from the writers of Carnivale, but one event after another has been thrown at them since coming on the book that they haven't really had the chance to leave their mark. (First arc followed up Extremis, then a couple CW issues, then Tony takes over SHIELD, now WWH and off...?)

I wonder what the mystery solicit is...New Avengers maybe?
The Cap solicit is pretty confusing yet also funny at the same time. I have to say that Sue Storm looks terrible in the FF cover by Turner.
The New Warriors cover is very good indeed. Very powerful cover by Kolins for Omega Flight, I can't wait to it. I like the Iron Man cover, but who is the guy penciling it (Butch Guice)? He is new to me.

I don't doubt that Hudlin can write a good story, but I just can't help but feel that that's not the way to go.
I'm a bit worried about that as well. Marvel should have tried to keep the universes fairly separate as it seems that you can go from the 616 universe to the Ultimate universe via the Zombie universe and vice versa.
si, rodrigo

Nope, the list of dead known mutants is a lot shorter than that of depowered mutants that survived. I think technically only the depowered ones that died on panel were in the bus, the rest of the people that died in the bus are "unknowns"
Everyone else including amazingly one of the vale sisters, only one was on the bus.

AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #3
Written by DAN SLOTT
Penciled by STEFANO CASELLI
Cover by JIM CHEUNG
"Bug Hunt"
He's BACK IN BLACK and right in the Initiative's sights! Join WAR MACHINE and his assault team as they hunt down the #1 unregistered hero in America: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN! Also: which former mutant has the BEAST brought in to train TRAUMA? And introducing the Initiative's all-new Black Ops Unit-- a team with a secret that will make this the can't-miss-comic of '07!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99
I don't get it...are we supposed to root for the characters headlining Avengers: The Initiative? I've been brainwashed to oppose nearly every person who has tried to track down Spider-Man - why I am supposed to care how this issue turns out? I'm confused - do I want the main characters to actually catch Spider-Man? Would that be a good thing? The problem I'm getting at is, if I don't care for the characters or what they're trying to do, why should I buy the series?

New Warriors is going to be awesome. And it's definitely nice to see Sofia hasn't been dumped off into Comic Book Limbo like so many other X-characters. I just hope the Warriors run into the New X-Men eventually because that would definitely make for some fun, awkward interactions.

Hate:
*As you can tell by now, any and all Mighty Avengers
*Reed Richards. Wait, we're gonna focus on an inscription on this ancient artifact? And, uh...how is that Marriage Counseling, Reed? Is deciphring an ancient rune more interesting than family?
*Hate-Monger's Suit. Oh, Swastikas. VERY inventive. What next, you gonna give him a monocle and have him use a 'vunce' or 'vhen' in every sentence? (Although, the bright side is that as he's a Hate-Monger, he's succeeded in making me Hate Him. Or, at least, his costume.)

As stated above, he's Jackson Guice. He was most recently on DC's "Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis" that was published a few times a year. If he's doing more than covers or specials, don't expect it to be monthly.

I thought Spider-man was registered?
yeah, and I thought that registering with the government meant that you DID NOT have to work for them... unless they are considering the fact that he sided with Captain America and fought the registereds... that makes him a criminal.
The Avengers Initiative looks good otherwise, but NEW WARRIORS: someone is going around spray painting "NW" on posters.... Wasn't that done in "V"?
...and I don't think superhero team whom is the catalyst of a mass murder would be a great name for these kids to pick up....much less fight AGAINST registration as soon as they are out of the gate...
I got one thing to say (and I am a long-time NW fan).... MEH.

Umm...for the writing and the art? Seriously, if you like the writer enough, have faith that they can spin an interesting story even with the most hateful of characters. Hell, maybe they're not even supposed to all be sympathetic, did you ever think of that? That's how it works in film and in books as well. Get over the fanboy mentality that what matters first is 'how the character is portrayed'. If you know you don't like the writer (or maybe you hate the artist), don't buy the book. It's pretty much that simple.
Me, I sided in my heart with the anti-reg forces and wanted to see them kick ass. And yet logically I understand the pro-reg forces and would side with them in real life.
Now, it's win-win. The post CW world is so much more interesting than the one before. Now if you're a Spidey fan, you get to see him on the run again when coming into contact with many super flunkies. That's great. You just know he's going to embarrass the hell out of 99% of the ones who try to take him down. If you hate Spider-Man, maybe you take joy in watching heroes you like go after him like a criminal.
Just roll with it and enjoy a Marvel that hasn't been this fun and interesting in over 30 years. Or don't. But sweet Jesus Christ please everyone stop bitching about how much you dislike the CW world. It just doesn't matter. Sales say every single other person in the world IS enjoying it. Marvel's not turning things around for you, so you'd best get used to it or start finding comics from another company (and they do exist, btw, even past DC).
One thing to keep in mind...the current status quo won't last forever. Marvel changes. After 70s spy/conspiracy Marvel came goofy-ass, boring 80s Marvel. Many people who seem to hate CW Marvel seem to have loved 80s Marvel. Right now those people have Annihilation, Planet Hulk/WWH, and coming up is X-Men: Endangered Species. There are those classic Avengers' style comics and Aranya and characters like that. WTF is there to complain about?! And you know your style of Marvel will come around again, right? Loosen up! Let other people (the majority of people these days, according to sales) have their Marvel for a while.
Stop whining like little children. Wahhhhh! WAHHHHHHHHHH! All ____ing day long, every day on these boards. Waaaaaaahhhhh, my favorite characters are being written differently than they have for the last 30 years in the same god-damned stories done over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again! Maybe the current stories aren't 100% new either, but they certainly feel a lot fresher than the previous garbage. And many of them are written at a level that a young or even middle-aged adult might finally pick them up as competition to good crime or other genre fiction. That definitely wasn't the case with 80s and 90s Marvel.
If you're not convinced, just don't buy the damned book. Please, just stop freaking moaning about it ad nauseum here. I don't go on and post how much I hate books X, Y and Z on other threads. Do I go on about how mediocre a writer I think Greg Pak is and how bad I think the art is in Planet Hulk? Nope, not until this very moment when I used it to make this very point. I just avoid those books and those threads and let their fans enjoy them. How hard is that?
By the way, if you've been brainwashed by Millar's writing on Civil War then I'd say you need to work on your willpower something fierce.
In other news, I say that an amazing percentage of these books in this preview look to be a blast. Too many comics to buy these days.

Yeah, that's how I always thought of it as. Since, as I understand, they're not allowed to do any "super-heroing" without federal orders, or part of some federal operation, it's kind of like he was an army guy, who decided to take one of the army's tanks out and do some good on his own. What an awful analogy, actually, haha, but works for me.

Storywise New Warriors sounds very very interesting.
Sub-Mariner? Cool.
Classsic Avengers has the most beautiful cover since George Perez did those multi-character covers for DC. Kevin Maguire is the best underused artist. I adored his Justice League work.
I am warming up to the Initiative and Omega Flight is a dream. However I am still peeved about an American wearing the Guardian suit. Heather Hudson and Puck need to be brought back as well.
Marvel is sucking my wallet away.

Well they already showed the zombie Wolverine in that all Wolverine issue of the Exiles, so it's not like they weren't going to connect the regular marvel verse to the zombieverse sooner or later.

Well they already showed the zombie Wolverine in that all Wolverine issue of the Exiles, so it's not like they weren't going to connect the regular marvel verse to the zombieverse sooner or later.
That was a different Zombie Wolverine. Note that he still had his arm, and wasn't a Galactus.

This looks good, but I'm in six minds as to what to do, I like Black Panther , and I haven't bothered with the Zombie themed Bks, even though I wanted to,
I really don't know what I should do, any advice here would be greatly appreciated..........:)

I think the proper analogy for Spidey is that he went AWOL.
It is interesting to see old Spider-Man foe the Shocker as part of the Initiative.
Especially since Shocker and a bunch of others "supposedly" died in the last issue of Punisher War Journal. Maybe that's the big secret mentioned in the solicitation, they're all zombies now? :D

I think that Spidey probably has been charged with Aiding and Abetting Federal Fugitives. Plus now assaulting federal agents, resisting arrest, violating arrest warrants, and violating the Superhero Registration Act which he registered under.

Shockingly, people will have opinions that don't agree with yours. Perhaps even more shockingly, in a society with free speech, they will express them....
It's not the expression of the opinion in itself that its the problem. It's the need of certain people round here to derail every single thread with endless moaning because something isn't going the way they want it. And then they move onto the next thread and say the same exact damn thing as though their opinion is the only one that matters.
I haven't seen any intelligent new points being made about Civil War in weeks and yet people continue to feel the need to whine about it and suck the enjoyment out of everything else.

AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #3
He's BACK IN BLACK and right in the Initiative's sights! Join WAR MACHINE and his assault team as they hunt down the #1 unregistered hero in America: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN! Also: which former mutant has the BEAST brought in to train TRAUMA? And introducing the Initiative's all-new Black Ops Unit-- a team with a secret that will make this the can't-miss-comic of '07!
Not to be negative -- since I'm really looking forward to this -- but couldn't we have waited more than three issues for one of the ubiquitous Spider-Man/Wolverine guest appearances? Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder how many titles have had one of those two appear in the first six issues. I'm guessing it's a high percentage.
NEW WARRIORS #1
Someone is gift-wrapping super-villains for the police. Someone is defacing Superhuman Registration posters. Someone is raising eyebrows all around town -- from City Hall to Tony Stark’s war chamber. And the only clue to their identity? Two spray-painted letters: N.W. Who are these mysterious young upstarts that have dared to fight the powers-that-be? And what do they want from a de-powered mutant named Sofia? Are the New Warriors truly back from the dead? Or has something new risen from the ashes of Stamford?
Sounds like a real good start to me. Really lookng forward to this, though I'm torn between wanting to be spoiled now and wanting to be surprised.
NOVA #3
Nova’s return to Earth continues -- with guest-stars the Thunderbolts! He fought in a war. He saved the universe. But is the world ready for the post-Annihilation Nova? Iron Man has given Richard Rider 24 hours to decide whether he’ll join the Initiative -- but the Thunderbolts say his time is up! What will happen when Nova collides with this controversial crew… especially since one of their members is his former friend Robbie Baldwin, a.k.a. Penance?
What a shock -- the TBolts act like villains and don't follow the rules... Can't wait to see Nova kick all their butts, especially Iron Prick. And Robbie declared he's dead. I don't know if Penance is supposed to have a secret ID, but it's pretty clear that character bears no resemblance to Robbie Baldwin.
OMEGA FLIGHT #3 (of 5)
The new GUARDIAN's stunning introduction! You know you want it.
Really, I don't. I'd much rather have Heather or Puck than some supervillain murderer. Hopefully he'll follow Mac's example and blow himself up in short order.
WORLD WAR HULK: FRONT LINE #1 (of 6)
Your street-level view of the Hulk’s invasion! The Green Goliath has returned to Earth on a collision course with some of Marvel’s mightiest heroes…so what does that mean for the ordinary people caught in the crossfire? Ben Urich and Sally Floyd -- fresh from their appearance in CIVIL WAR: FRONT LINE -- pound the pavement to uncover the story behind the story! Plus: Who wants our tireless reporters to take down J. Jonah Jameson, and how do they want them to do it? Grab your press pass and join the CIVIL WAR: FRONT LINE team of writer Paul Jenkins and penciler Ramon Bachs as they take you to the middle of this summer’s blockbuster!
Do we get treated to more tirades about NASCAR and MySpace? Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice... I'll pass.

On the subject of Spider-man:
Me too. Wasn't that the whole reason he unmasked, to show that he was registered.
Yes he was registered, however as has since been explained in several places including here there is more to registration than simply having your name known.
In order to continue being an active super-hero he needs to be licensed, which I'm going to bet he isn't.
And in order to forestall the next round of whining that I just know is coming. No, this hasn't been properly explained in the comics themselves. That was definitely a weakness of Civil War. Never the less it has been explained on Newsarama several times so people posting here ought to be aware of it.

I've read your personal dislike for Spider-man and Wolverine before and that's fair enough but as a long time comics reader you must know that they are used like this for a very simple reason. They boost sales which expose these new titles to more eyeballs. How can that be a bad thing?

Yeah, hopefully they handle this right ... the TBolts really have no chance against Nova at his current power level -- if they do, it kind of torpedoes the cosmic level book its supposed to be, since he's heading back into space.
New Warriors does sound interesting; I'll definitely pick that one up to check it out. I thought I read an interview awhile back that said there would be one returning New Warrior from a previous roster ... anyone know who it's supposed to be?

Perhaps I should have said "Sorry to be negative," then. I am looking forward to AI, but I'd really rather not have to read about Spider-Man in a book I plan to collect. So I expressed that.
Hell read most of the posts you've made in response to this weekends news articles and tell me they aren't negative.
I think you're focusing on the negative. I wrote that I'm disappointed that a book I plan to get will feature a character who's already in like a dozen other books. Then I wrote about my excitement about New Warriors, and Nova kicking some jerks' asses. Then I made an admittedly negative comment about yet another title I'm likely to buy (Omega Flight).
You want to focus on my negative, that's fine, but at least I'm talking about the comics, Eoghann. I have no idea if you're going to get NW, OF, AI or any of these. Please, talk about the books, not my posting style.

They seem pretty set on keeping that quiet until the book comes out (which is the part I vacillate between wanting spoiled and wanting to be surprised).
Current money seems to be on Rage or Firestar will Silhouette as a dark horse, though the art in Avengers Initiative does include Rage, which makes it hard to know whether he's going to effectively switch teams or something of that sort.

Seriously though, why do stories about Cap's death. he's dead and CW didn't really have a decent conclusion... or begginning.... not really a middle either.
I get the feeling that Marvel let him die because the powers that be didn't like him as a character. I hope I'm wrong about that.

Nova 3: Just a few short months ago, I would've been doing back flips at the prospect of the Thunderbolts guest starring in another book. Now, a T-Bolts appearance is actually a turn off. Ah well, at least Nova's homecoming is only going to last a couple of issues, because...
Annihilation Conquest Prologue: ...Marvel Cosmic rules! The sequel to the best event of 2006 is here! Woo-hoo!
Avengers: The Initiative 3: Hmm...black ops unit...C-list bad guys on the cover...could it be?! A Thunderbolts team that is actually interesting?!? Go Dan!!
Captain America 27: Brubaker made Bucky's resurrection work. Brubaker made Cap's death work. He's already fulfilled the miracle requirement for cannonization as a saint. Congrats, Bru! And man, that's a fantastic cover.
Daredevil 98: Another sweet cover on another brilliantly written Brubaker book.
Immortal Iron Fist 7: I think the best parts of Immortal Iron Fist have been the Highlander-esque flashback scenes to previous IF weilders. To have an entire issue dedicated to one of them is great news. I hope this is a regular feature.
She Hulk 20: Please bring Awesome Andy back... Please bring Awesome Andy back... Please bring Awesome Andy back... Nice cover by Watson too...better than the Horn's cheesecake (and much better than Horn's attempts to show action during Planet Without a Hulk). Finally, a cover that reflects the content within the book.
X-Factor 20: This is one of the best comics currently being published. I really don't have much else to say.
Criminal 7: Hmm...I'll be picking up 12 books this month. Four of them are written by Brubaker (and a fifth by his former Gotham Central partner, Greg Rucka). GC was my introduction to both writers. I wonder what I'd be reading if I'd never discovered that book...

No Ultimate Power is a bummer. They had better not be taking another 3 month gap between issues.
But can you believe anything an alien riding a surfboard tells you?
Really funny bit from the solicitation text and great Ultimate Fantastic Four cover by Ferry & Ponsor.
Lee Weeks on pencils and Eddie Brock in Sensational, you know that is going to be excellent. Stunning cover by Crain as well. Great Spiderman/FF cover by Wieringo also.
At long last, America: someone has combined pirates, kicking, girls, and Iron Fist into a single comic book. You're welcome.
Simply priceless.
Skottie Young's Cable covers on Cable & Deadpool keep getting more bizarre and ridiculous each month. It's hard to know whether to be appalled at them or to laugh.
The Punisher: Barracuda covers have been brilliant throughout and the last one in no exception, it is really funny.
Some Criminal goodness is always welcome. But it's strange that they have the price down as $3.50 yet it is $2.99 on the cover. I hope this will be clarified soon.
It is good to see that Marvel have gotten the Annihilation Hardcovers out in a timely fashion and it is good that they are all out before the sequel starts.
Although I am pretty disappointed that Irredemable Ant-Man is not getting at least a softcover trade. Sure a digest is cheaper but I would have preferred it in graphic novel format. I wonder if many people will be put off it now.
ULTIMATES 2 VOL. 2: GRAND THEFT AMERICA TPB
Ha, ha, ha. Does anyone else think that it is a bit premature for Marvel to solicit this given the delays on the final issue. Ah well the good news (if you can consider it good!) is that we will only have to wait another 3 months at the most for issue #13 if all goes as planned.

True, but it only being $8.00 is more enticing to those who haven't read the series so far. Small and affordable - not a bad deal.
But I don wonder what Hester's small, multi-paneled art will look like when its condensed to digest size.
I wish Marvel would release more under-performing series as digests - For those that are hesitant to pick up monthly issues AND trade collections, smaller, affordable, and let's face it, more disposable collections would lure me to pick up A LOT of books.

40 buck for the Planet Hulk HC!!!!? Come on Marvel cut us a break! Of course that's not as bad as Byrne Visionaries Volume 7 collecting: FANTASTIC FOUR #285-286 and ANNUAL #19, AVENGERS #263 and ANNUAL #14, and X-FACTOR #1. That's 6 issues for 25 dollars. I don't give a damn if two of them are annuals. I'm not even sure why they included the Avengers and X-factor issues, I know it was the return of Jean Grey, but 286 could have stood alone.

Already mentioned a lot of my books in the previews, but ...
Psyched to see Annihilation II so quickly and really looking forward to Mystic Arcana. Though those two, and World War Hulk could actually start putting a strain on some of my finances. Some of my more tenuous Marvel titles (Uncanny and Ant-Man, at the moment) may take a hit...
Really liking the looks of Loners and Runaways. I figured the latter would be going off-planet, but time travel can be fun too.
SHE-HULK #20
Twenty issues of secrets and mysteries... ...and here's where we let you peek at the answers! Is She-Hulk still married? What's Mallory's master plan? Who has Mr. Zix been talking to? Where's John? Awesome Andy? Pug? Southpaw?!! BIG returns, BIGGER reveals, and THE BIGGEST SURPRISE OF ALL! All this, and a giant-size Man-Thing.
Southpaw! Even if the rest of the solicit and cover didn't look great, I've been anxiously awaiting Sasha's return. Long live Southpaw!
CABLE & DEADPOOL #41 and #42

NEW X-MEN #39

“THE QUEST FOR MAGIK”
After the shocking events of last issue, the students of the Xavier Institute take their stand against Belasco, but do they have any hope of defeating the powerful demon sorcerer? And deep in the heart of Limbo, Anole and Pixie make a deal with another devil, a much blonder and more Russian devil by the name of Illyana Rasputin, while an earth-bound Surge and Hellion try to find a way into Hell. Part 2 (of 4)!
I like how Young uses different first names for different styles of art. : ) Really geeked about New X-Men too. Illyana's almost as cool as ... Southpaw!

hurr????? wh.... hey, i've bought these issues for 2.99 each = 17.94. i feel cheated. maybe i should switch to just buying collected editions; the paperback versions are never more expensive than the individual issues combined (Vertigo's paperbacks always cheaper). and these digests.... well, that's just ridiculous.

A digest is like a smaller version of a softcover trade paperback. Marvel does them for the Adventure line books and for Runaways as well as the last volume of Spider-Girl. Its size is 7.6 x 5.1 x 0.3 inches whereas a normal softcover trade is 10 x 6.5 x 0.4 inches.
I think this is my favorite part:
They haven't even solicited Ultimates #13, but they're soliciting, for June, a collected edition of it? WTF?
I think Marvel solicited Ultimates #13 months and months ago, it's just that it kept getting put back due to delays.

Also? I love Newsarama for one reason: While it gives diluted, probably older, probably smelly, probably unkempt people like 'Salieri' an outlet, it does afford me the anonymity to finally call them out (something i just cant do on a Wednesday in the stores) for being just awful people.

Question: How come the Anita Blake HC has more pages in the Direct Market version than the book market one?
I saw that and went "I'll bet only the DM version has the exclusive prose story written by Hamilton".
Always a nice way to say thank you to the fans for supporting the book. Make them buy a $20 HC reprint with an exclusive story in it.
With luck, Mrs. Hamilton will be able to reprint that story elsewhere in her series.

Chill. $40 is still cheaper than the individual issues, and on top of that you can get the thing for like $25 on Amazon.
I think it's a bad move making Irredeemable Ant-Man a digest -- the digest audience isn't the right audience for the title at all, and the audience that would like the book will likely dismiss the digest format.
Argh @ the Finch gatefold X-Men #200 cover being a variant...I don't wanna spend extra money on it, so I might end up just sticking with the poster. Art Adams Avengers Clasic poster too!
No Wolverine solicit?

I think you might have to consider whether or not you collect and/or are interested in The Thing and Human Torch as they will probably appear in the issue. I'm sorry I can't be more help but I recently dropped Black Panther and one of the reasons for this was that they kept doing gimmick stories such as this one. But you should give it a flick through in the store and see what you think and maybe buy the first issue of the arc if you have spare change.

Well you don't know because I haven't said and I haven't said because I don't think my reading habits are a matter of general interest. I tend to focus my comments on more interesting topics like discussing things that I've already read or things that have actually happened.

I think it's a fair story point that the avengers teams go after the anti reg poster boy (undeceased variant). Flipside is maybe it's just Natasha in a man suit giving WM's boys a little training exercise. Hell, maybe spidey won't appear at all and it'll be a standard Fugitive style episode with Gerard almost but not quite finding him...
Anyway, between this, Champions, Loners, Omega Flight I'm sure gona be laying out on Marvel for a while....
Damn:)

Guest-starring the former Gen X-er now known as Hollow! Phil Urich has a Goblin – a green one – lurking within. But with tensions escalating, how long can he keep his dark side from exploding out? Plus: Who is Hollow, and how will the girl once called Penance bring danger to the door of the Loners?

Looks like an interesting month. New Warriors' cover has me excited, but overall, I'm not too fond of all the series that are launching out of Civil War. Sure, they're interesting - I'll give Marvel credit for that, but my wallet is hurting as is. Well, space is an issue too in my small room...
I'm really on the wall about Silent War though. The cover was issue 6 looks awesome. The content from the previous two issues were kind of lack luster though. With World War Hulk coming (Hulk vs Black Bolt or Sentry vs Black Bolt? Hmmm), I need to start saving money (plus the big X event...)! May be I should cut Silent War, but then the collector in me will be annoyed since I have two issues XD
Can't wait for more Captain America....

Immortal Iron Fist 7: I think the best parts of Immortal Iron Fist have been the Highlander-esque flashback scenes to previous IF weilders. To have an entire issue dedicated to one of them is great news. I hope this is a regular feature.

yeah, and I thought that registering with the government meant that you DID NOT have to work for them... unless they are considering the fact that he sided with Captain America and fought the registereds... that makes him a criminal.
The Avengers Initiative looks good otherwise, but NEW WARRIORS: someone is going around spray painting "NW" on posters.... Wasn't that done in "V"?
They went around spraying "NW" in V?
Looks like fun to me... Lot of titles look good to me. It's really nice to see Agents of Atlas even if it is in Marvel Adventures (I like the title but it ain't MU proper).. She-Hulk and Runaways look intriguing... Even Marvel Adventures FF sounds fun. And Franklin Richards has a timely homage! :D
