<blockquote> Black is back in style! The first three Spider-Man: Back in Black titles have all sold out at Diamond including Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17, Sensational Spider-Man #35, and Spider-Man Family #1. And due to the pandemonium over these issues, Marvel is going back to press with all-new covers by Young Gun: Reloaded artist Clayton Crain and fan-favorites Adi Granov and Leonard Kirk.

Clayton Crain’s cover to Sensational Spider-Man #35 Second Printing is an homage of the classic Amazing Spider-Man #87 cover while Adi Granov’s Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17 Second Printing cover is a homage of the powerful interior page from Amazing Spider-Man #50. Plus, Leonard Kirk’s brand-new Spider-Man Family #1 Second Printing cover features Spidey in his Black Costume, a Steve Ditko-era Spider-Man and Spider-Man J!

Phillip Hayes of PaperbackReader.com’s review of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17 said, “The Back in Black hype is well worth it… The development of Spider-Man continues to be a must read unpredictable tale.”

Civil War’s conclusion has left Spider-Man in a dark place, paving the way for Spider-Man to go “Back in Black” and don his old black costume in its wake. Find out what everyone is buzzing about as Spider-Man is Back in Black!

Is Spider-Man family in continuity, or is it just reprints and out of continuity stories?

A good bulk of it is reprints but there are a couple 8 to 12 page new stories which is in continuity..

The two new stories in that issue are set in past continuity.

This is great news to everyone involved. Sensational has been brilliant and nice to see it do very well. I guess this is the sales boost Marvel were expecting whenever "The Unmasking" came around. Better late than never I guess...

Pity Crain's cover isn't shown, but that one from Granov is superb.

My favorite part of this whole thing - three or four issues of the black costume, and we're STILL not 100% sure WHY he's wearing it.

Other than to push the movie, obviously.
