I'd probably be bothered for five minutes but I like Wally so I'd let it go. Beyond that I'd be fine if Bart was well written as the Flash and we could see that Wally and Linda are living happily ever after with their kids. Just keep Wally alive so he could come back some day if needed.

If only to keep the narrative going, I'd want to see an explanation...but it could be a really sucky explanation and I'd accept it. Like Bobby Ewing in the shower sucky.

If they're going to do all that switching, yes I would like an explanation. No matter how lame. As for who's in the Flash suit. Well Barry or Wally would still be my first choice, but Bart's okay in my book. Not great, but not bad.

I agree, bart is a great character. Which is why I think he's sucking so bad as Flash he makes my ears pop.

Much like you, the thing that makes Bart cool is his youthful exuberance. So taking that away and making him all emo(*) and early-20's is removing that which makes him cool.

Each Flash was a product of his era. Barry was perfect for the gee-gosh 60's and 70's, Wally was great for the money oriented 80s and the return to family 90's. But IMPULSE was a perfect metaphor for the 'oughties. ADD'ed all to hell, impatient, and bursting with youth and energy.

And they've taken that away and made him Wally-Lite. And since Wally's not actually dead (he's just not here) there's no need to the torch to be passed.

I'd rather have Wally back, Bart a kid again. I want all the speedsters back actually; But I still say you can't bring back Barry without diminishing his sacrifice, so I'm okay with him being still gone.

(PLEASE don't point to that damn teaser poster-it gives me a headache.
