As you can see by my sig I loved this book! It came out about the time Alan Davis did JLA: The Nail & it got "ignored". Anyone else like this book?

The premise is Kal-El lands on Earth in the 30th century & forms his own Legion.

Yeah. Great Legion story. Took me awhile to find the issues but well worth it.

I missed it when it came out because I figured it would be collected. I have not been able to find it since, causing me to bellow in rage on average 2 or 3 times a month.

Well, maybe with the minor surge in popularity the Legion is seeing thanks to the newish comic and cartoon this will see a reprinting. Superboy may be an issue though.

Biggest nerd when it comes to Alan Davis books. Lovin' his FF: The End.

Superboy's Legion was amazing! Light Lass and Shadow Lass actually having cool powers...the wonderful use of Ferro Lad's abilities (if anyone else used them liked that to fight magic, i've never seen it). Plus, having an artist that can draw old school outfits and make them look nice is impossible to find.

It was a great miniseries. I wish it would have enjoyed the success that the Nail did.

More goofy, nonsensical, "throw everything at a wall and see what sticks" writing from Alan Davis. He should stick to drawing.

I'm not as enthused about Davis' art, as I was in the 80's. Even looking back at Captain Britain, or the Outsiders, his art was just better. The last time I saw his work, and really enjoyed it, was during the few issues of the Fantastic Four that he did with Chris Claremont.

In terms of Superboy's Legion, it was nice to look at, an interesting idea, and fairly action-packed, but not something I'd be interested in seeing every month. First off, I'm done with writers' obsessions with the Adventure Comics era. Stop returning the Legion to it, you - TPTB - are the only ones who want to see it! The majority of us, as is evident from many people, on several boards, if we have to go back, want to go back to the Cocrum costumes, and line-up of the 70's and 80's. Don't turn an established character into a snake, especially when you dump her original background, to make her a tepid play on the British monarchy. If you need a black character, use one of those who started out that way, there are 5, from which to choose. If you're going to make the book Wild in the Streets, think it through, and make it work all the way through. When you introduce new characters, be they hero or villain, tell us their names! If they aren't important enough for you to name, they won't be important enough for us to read. The Legion isn't the X-Men. That's important to note, in that Timberwolf DOESN'T have a healing factor, so don't suddenly say that he does. Finally, make sure the book has a pulse.
