What if Sobek is the missing 52 seconds? On that other thread, someone found that Sobek=52. (I know this doesn't really make sense, but I just thought of it.)

Doesn't Rip have the missing 52 seconds ? A few weeks ago in "52" (the issue that revealed Supernova's identity) Rip presumably used 2 of those seconds so that he and Supernova could escape Skeets' attack ....

I don't think (and anyone who's knowledgeable, please correct me) that time can be converted into matter.

And how does Rip Hunter (or others) determine that 52 seconds is missing? Wouldn't they have to compare it to another frame of reference, like another universe? How do you lose time? Or how does someone/something take it? Gravity wells can cause time dilation, which I suppose, if temporary, could have a similar effect to "losing" 52 seconds, but again, how would you know?

Ugh, I'd rather think about time-travel paradoxes than this stuff.

if the start of one minute until the start of the next only lasted 8 seconds that would mean 52 seconds went missing somehow. The only people who would notice this are people who are intuitively connected to time

And the people who were cooking eggs at the time.

Mike Siglain actually talked about this during the last 5.2 segment.

MS: For an evil villain with time on his mind--literally--it's not surprising that Doctor Tyme would be acutely aware of the missing 52 seconds. It'd be like if you or I lost a week of our life - and not on some wild, border-crossing bender, either.

To me, that actually really really makes sense.

Didn't Sivania(or w/e his name is) have artificial time particles or something like that? So wouldn't that be matter that turns into time. Therefore the reverse could be possible(although very weird).

I was thinking of reality rather than comic-book-reality, but now that you mention it, I think you're right. At the very least they could probably serve as a point of reference for the missing seconds- unless that's what the Multiverse is for.
