All this talk about Countdown reminds me of Zero Hour.

Unfortunately, I don't recall a single word of Zero Hour. Anybody have a Reader's Digest condensed version?

The only decent scene of Zero Hour was when Hawkman split into a dozen different Hawkmen and fought Vandal Savage.
Of course that messed up Hawkman even further, but it was cool at the time.
